Parent-Teacher Association

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) has a long and productive relationship with Greenwood Elementary. We have photographs of PTA members dating back over 50 years. Throughout these years, parents such as you have volunteered to join the PTA.

The primary work of the PTA is to raise funds that support educational programs for your children. Here at Greenwood, the PTA raises over $25,000 per year! The money is spent directly on our students. Each year, for example, the PTA pays for one field trip per classroom at a cost of over $7,000. Additionally, the PTA pays for special assemblies, playground equipment and even provides eyeglasses and clothing for our children in need. Our school is truly fortunate to have the PTA!

So, if you would like to get involved and make a difference, please contact the front office for more information.
